At Pei Asset Management, we continue to drive initiatives enabling us to operate our assets portfolio with greater efficiency and sustainability.
As part of this commitment, we completed the installation of a new solar power plant at Edificio Avianca that will significantly reduce the building’s environmental impact, while generating long-term energy efficiencies.
The installation features 340 solar panels expected to generate approximately 294,500 kWh of clean energy per year –roughly covering 11% of the building’s total yearly energy consumption.
The new solar plant will prevent the emission of approximately 28 tons of CO₂ per year, an offset equivalent to the annual carbon capture of about 470 trees.
Beyond its environmental merits, the project delivers direct operational benefits. Once the plant is fully operational, Avianca will experience an estimated 40% savings on its energy bill, compared to conventional power rates, driving a more efficient and competitive operation.
