AM: Eco-efficiency and Adaptation to Climate Change

To contribute to the solution of any current and future environmental challenges, PEI ‘s environmental strategy was designed to increase the portfolio’s assets eco-efficiency through the following:

Ongoing Projects

  • Installation of panels: In 2021, Pei AM made progress with the installation of 2,320 solar panels at Plaza Central and Ideo Cali, completing a total of 11 assets with 3,967 solar panels, equivalent to 14% of the portfolio’s GLA.
  • Eco-efficiency analysis: In 2021, along with and expert third, Pei AM conducted the eco-efficiency diagnosis of 18 of its assets (representing 28% of the leasable area and 312,000 m2), to ascertain the water and energy consumption levels and their sources. Ascertain the amount of waste, supervise the disposal practices, and evaluate the assets’ climatic and light comfortability.

Environment

The portfolio has 6.459.190 ft² of LEED certified construction which 364,388 m2 are Pei’s property.

These LEED certification is awarded to those buildings complying with a set of energy efficiency, alternative energy use, indoor environmental quality improvement, water consumption efficiency, sustainable development, and material selection standards.
