Bogotá D.C., March 2020. In order to further strengthen its diversification strategy, Pei, a real estate investment vehicle managed by Pei Asset Management, the leading Colombian company, has confirmed the acquisition of a new real estate asset in the healthcare sector. This is the Sanitas Ciudad Jardín medical center, the second property of this type that Pei acquires in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
The asset, built by the firms Castañeda Vacca & Cia and Construandes, has a leasable area of 2,582 m2CliniSanitas, a prepaid medical company, began providing emergency and outpatient medical services at the end of 2019 after approximately 13 months of construction under a custom-designed scheme.
The property was purchased by Pei for a value of COP 13,574 MM under a long-term contract with Grupo Sanitas, which already has leases on two properties in the city of Cali and one in Bogotá.
With this acquisition, Pei reaffirms its long-term partnership with its tenants in a category with national expansion potential.

With this acquisition, Pei’s diversified portfolio now encompasses a total of 145 assets in 30 cities across Colombia, representing more than 1,000,000 square meters of leasable area, valued at over COP 6.5 trillion.
