Barranquilla, September 2021. Recently, Pei, a real estate investment vehicle (a Colombian company), and Hada International, a company dedicated to the production and distribution of personal care and household products, inaugurated a new distribution center for storage and distribution of goods in the La Cayena Free Zone, near Barranquilla.

The winery, the result of a custom-designed and turnkey solution, had an investment of COP 3.000 million and has an area of 3.600m². Its construction took a record-breaking three and a half months, considering that projects of this type typically require approximately 6 months, resulting in a time saving of 40%.

With this winery, Pei and Hada International are betting on strengthening the economic recovery in the Atlántico department and the surrounding area of the municipality where it is located, generating more than 820 jobs, both directly and indirectly.

Furthermore, it is expected that the organization’s export capacity will double to reach a total of 4,000 tons per month. Currently, Hada International supplies 20% of the American market with its range of personal hygiene soaps made from 100% vegetable oils.

In this way, Hada International acquires 14.823 square meters of leased logistics assets from Pei, which currently consists of 37 assets totaling 410.215 square meters.

The company plans to continue on its growth path and expects to build 12,000 m2 for its operations by 2023.

Details of the new distribution center

The property features 7 loading docks arranged as follows: 2 for receiving and 5 for distribution, which facilitates the continuous process of goods dispatch, resulting in time savings. In addition, office spaces, meeting rooms and training facilities, a kitchen, cafeteria, dining area, changing rooms, bathrooms, archive, dog room and driver’s room.

The asset offers amenities such as: a forklift battery charging room, a complete fire suppression system, and an electrical substation. In addition, 1,458 m2 of maneuvering yards and parking for tractor-trailers, vehicles, and motorcycles.
