Bogotá, 2021. Pei, the leading real estate investment vehicle in Colombia, managed by Pei Asset Management, completed the acquisition of 67% of Edificio Buró 26, located in Bogotá.

This came after an earlier acquisition commitment and portfolio addition made a few years ago. The asset currently has a long-term lease agreement (7 years).

The building has a total leasable area of 14,619 m2, of which Pei acquired a 67% stake, corresponding to 9,795 m2, with an investment of COP $87,250 MM.

Edificio Buró 26 is the first of six towers that are part of the C-26 Business Complex, located on Avenida El Dorado, a strategic area of high importance for the corporate sector, with extensive transportation options, access roads, and proximity to Bogotá’s El Dorado Airport.

It also holds LEED Silver certification, awarded thanks to its sustainable construction, reflected in the highest-quality materials used, the type of lighting, and the plumbing fixtures.

In addition, the property has mixed use: commercial and corporate. The ground floor features a spacious entrance hall and five retail units. Also,

it has 10 floors of offices and two basement levels for user and visitor parking.

On this, Jairo Corrales, president of Pei Asset Management, said: “the completion of this asset’s acquisition process reaffirms our long-term management approach and fulfillment of the manager’s goal of generating value for Pei’s investors, the assets it invests in, and society at large.”

This acquisition reflects Pei’s strategy to continue growing in a diversified way, with high-standard, environmentally friendly properties, in line with its commitment to incorporating relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into the vehicle’s long-term investment management.
