Pei expands its specialized assets category with an acquisition in the city of Cali

Pei confirms the acquisition of the Sanitas Ciudad Jardín Medical Center in Cali, Valle del Cauca, an asset built to suit the tenant.
The asset, valued at COP 13,574 MM, has a leasable area of 2,582 m².
With the addition of this property, Pei now has four assets with Grupo Sanitas as tenant: two in Cali and two in Bogotá.

Bogotá D.C., March 2020. To continue strengthening its diversification strategy, Pei, the leading real estate investment vehicle in Colombia, managed by Pei Asset Management, confirmed the acquisition of a new healthcare-sector real estate asset. This is the Sanitas Ciudad Jardín Medical Center, the second property of this type Pei has acquired in the capital of Valle del Cauca.

The asset, built by the firms Castañeda Vacca & Cia and Construandes, has a leasable area of 2,582 m². The prepaid medical company CliniSanitas began operating emergency care and medical consultation services at the end of 2019, following a construction process of approximately 13 months under the built-to-suit model.

The property was acquired by Pei for COP 13,574 MM, with a long-term contract with Grupo Sanitas, which is already among the portfolio’s tenants at two assets in Cali and one in Bogotá.

With this acquisition, Pei reaffirms its long-term support for its tenants in a category with nationwide expansion potential.

With this acquisition, Pei’s diversified portfolio now totals 145 assets in 30 cities across Colombia, representing more than one million square meters of leasable area, valued at more than COP 6.5 trillion.
